LINGUISTICS AND PORTUGUESE

LP4: Language and human cognitive activity: theories, processes and practices of meaning production – Study of natural language as a complex creative system that takes place in sensory-perceptual processes involved in meaning production as a constitutive factor of self-organization in different domains of human activity. The line welcomes research proposals structured in a transdisciplinary perspective on the nature of human knowledge in different semiosis.

LP5: Language and enunciation: social interactions and discursive practices – Approach of the relationship between subject, languages and society, with the objective of undertaking research that is interested in linguistic, textual, enunciative and discursive phenomena in different spheres of human activities of our society (educational, media, religious, among others), contemplating issues about the discursive work of the subject who acts in them. Oriented by a transdisciplinary perspective, from theoretical and methodological approaches with a social interactionist and discursive-dialogical basis, the research fronts developed within this line seek to examine the functioning of discourses in social life.

LP6: Reading, Writing and Orality in Basic Education (line of intersection between the two Areas) – Study of teaching and learning practices of writing, orality and reading in schools and for the use of digital technologies in education. Proposition of interdisciplinary reflections about language practices and processes in the school environment, supported by a dialogue with studies in the field of Linguistics and Literature. Investigation and analysis of issues involved in the training and performance of basic education teachers, with an emphasis on the professionals of the Portuguese language and its literatures, either for native speakers or for non-native speakers.

LUSOPHONE LLITERATURES

LP1: Literature paths: histories, criticisms, theories – Study of Lusophone literatures with special attention to the act of narrating; the passage from myth to fictional narrative; the relationship between fiction and history, both in traditional and contemporary perspectives; the transformations in the ways of narrating and in the performed times, as well as the fictional spaces, in their relationship with the construction of subjectivity and identity.

LP2: Literary transits: production, translation, reception – Study of Lusophone literatures with special attention to the dialogue of literature with other arts and other discourses; diversity and the construction of territories and new places of literary enunciation; the migratory and translational movements between different social groups, spaces and times, and between the so-called national societies.
