The Department of International Relations at PUC Minas is one of Brazil’s leading social science departments, widely recognized for its excellence in teaching and research. We are known for our vibrant research culture that underpins our philosophy of research-led teaching. Our undergraduate program has been consistently ranked amongst the top three in the country. Our post-graduate program was established in 2006 and awarded a grade 5 (nota 5) by The CAPES Foundation, Ministry of Education in its most recent performance assessment cycles (2010-2012 and 2013-2016), making us one of just a handful of post-graduate programs in Brazil that hold this position. We are particularly proud to have achieved this ranking within such a short time of our inception.
