The European Council (2019) will discuss within this meeting the future of Europe’s policies in what regards migration. The 2015 Migration Crisis, while labeled by some as having ended already, has effects over the EU up to present day, in what regards not only politics and economics, but an entire culture. Being the highest institution of political cooperation within Europe, the European Council will debate and decide the EU’s future political agenda. While the Crisis might have been reduced, we cannot affirm that the situation of those both already in Europe and those migrating towards Europe is resolved. For this reason, discussing the historical context of the migration agenda, as well as questioning how the EU should develop is essential to our debate.
