Exchange – Universities holding an agreement with PUC Minas
For students from universities holding an agreement with our institution, procedures are as follows:
- The students’ host institution must send the Application Form to the Office of International Affairs no later than May 15 for exchange starting in August of the same year, or October 15 for exchange starting in February of the following year;
- Please annex the following documents to the Application Form:
• The Academic Transcript and Diploma (when applicable) of the home university, translated into Portuguese and authenticated by the foreign institution (or sworn translation);
• A letter explaining why you would like to study at PUC Minas;
• A copy of the main pages of your passport;
• A statement of financial resources filled in and signed (it is annexed to the Application Form);
• A description of the subjects you intend to take at PUC Minas (it is annexed to the Application Form);
- After an analysis of the documents, in case of exchange approval, the Office of International Affairs sends an Acceptance Letter to the foreign institution and/or to the student (via e-mail and mail), so that the student may apply for a visa in the Brazilian Consulate or Embassy in his/her country;
- The Office of International Affairs contacts the student for further orientation;
- The student starts studying at PUC Minas and takes part in orientation and support sessions at the Office of International Affairs;
- Once the exchange period is over, the Office of International Affairs sends the student’s Academic Transcript to the partner institution.
